USPI Caustic Washdown Depth Filtration System

Caustic Washdown Filtration Systems

USPI Caustic Washdown Stationary Inline Filtration systems (Model: 88 Stainless Steel series) are designed for use in: environments requiring water or chemical washdown. (88S-SS pictured at the left)

In a caustic washdown environment, standard filtration systems made from aluminum, steel, or iron can quickly rust, degrade, and fail themselves, leaving equipment unprotected. The 88 Stainless Steel series will withstand these environments, protecting your equipment to reduce maintenance and operating costs. It is easy to operate (i.e. take an oil sample, monitor filter element life, change filter elements and drain canisters) and employs a simple approach to filtering that removes both solid contaminants and moisture, leading to longer fluid and equipment life.

FEATURES

User Friendly

  • Easy installation and operation
  • Installation requires only a power source, two isolation ball valves, four compression fittings and some tubing
  • Sample probe makes taking oil samples quick and easy
  • Operates in the most challenging washdown conditions, whether direct or indirect water, water and soap, or chemical

Contamination Control

  • Multi-pass depth filtration reduces particulate and water contamination
  • Filtration down to one micron (dependent upon USPI filter element chosen)
  • Can restore or bring oil to cleaner-than-new levels
  • Filter elements each hold about 12 pounds of solid and 5 quarts of water contaminants

Return on Investment

  • Doubles oil life of mineral-based oils
  • Increases oil life tenfold when using quality USPI  synthetic and semi-synthetic lubricants
  • Typically increases pump life tenfold
